Welcome to Mrs. Wellman's Science Site
Hello, my name is Teresa Wellman and this is my 19th year teaching at Cassopolis Ross Beatty Junior Senior High School. I am am married to my wonderful husband Scott and we have three amazing children. In my spare time I enjoy camping, hanging out with friends and family, tending to our farm animals (a dogs, a cat, 28 chickens, and in the spring/summer months 3 pigs, 4 goats, and 2 rabbits. I truly love watching football, hockey and baseball/softball. My favorite teams are The University of Michigan and New England Patriots.
I graduated from Adrian College in 1997 with a Major in Biology, Minor in Natural Science and Teaching Degree. I then went on to complete my first 21 credit hours for my permanent certificate at Western Michigan University. I am still working towards my Masters Degree, but with three young children that has been harder than I anticipated. I had planned to complete my Masters Degree in Middle School Education, but Western has since dissolved that program, so I am looking at a Master's in Science Education or in Special Education.
My family is involved in the 4-H program and my children show their animals at the Cass County Fair, which keeps us very busy in the Spring/Summer months. They are also beginning to show during the fall and winter months at State shows. We are also involved in Country Crew 4-H, FFA, Archery, Rocket Football, JV Ranger Cheerleading and Softball. My daughters are starting to raise their own livestock by breeding goats and rabbits also.
I have lived in Cassopolis my entire life and graduated from Ross Beatty High School in 1993. I look forward to teaching all the students that walk through my classroom door and hope I can make a positive impact on their lives.
